Delhi High Court Restrains Man from Using 'Barbie' Trademark, Orders Takedown of Infringing Content

The Delhi High Court has granted an interim injunction in favour of Mattel Inc., restraining Padum Borah from using the "Barbie" trademark in connection with commercial kitchen equipment, event management, and catering services.

Justice Manmeet Pritam Singh Arora directed Borah to remove all references to "Barbie" from his social media accounts, including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

The court found that Borah's use of marks such as "Barbie One Stop Solution For Horeca & Foods Processing" was visually and phonetically identical to Mattel's registered trademark and lacked justification, potentially misleading consumers into believing an association with Mattel.
