Madras High Court Grants Interim Injunction Against Use of Film Title “Brocode”

The Madras High Court has granted an interim injunction restraining the release and use of the title “Brocode” by respondents in a forthcoming film, pending resolution of a title dispute.

The suit was filed by Ravi Mohan, who claimed prior rights over the name. The Court noted prima facie merit in his contention and prohibited the respondents from marketing or promoting the film under the contested title.

The injunction will remain in force until further orders, and the parties have been directed to file their respective pleadings within the stipulated timelines.
