The Bombay High Court acquitted all 12 men convicted in the 2006 Mumbai train blasts case, including five sentenced to death.
The Bech opined that the prosecution failed to prove its case beyond a reasonable doubt.
The Court found the witness testimonies unreliable and said the recovery of weapons was immaterial, especially since the type of bomb used wasn’t even identified.
The acquittals come nearly a decade after the trial court verdict.
