AAB Seeks Removal of Karnataka Bar Council Chairperson Over Bad English

The Advocates’ Association of Bengaluru (AAB) has urged the Bar Council of India (BCI) to remove Karnataka State Bar Council Chairperson, Mr. Mittala Kod SS, citing embarrassment caused during a welcome ceremony at the Karnataka High Court.

The AAB alleged that his English speech lacked clarity and contained multiple errors. It requested that future official speeches in Court Hall No. 1 be handled by another Council member.

The AAB also accused him of trying to halt the use of advocate welfare stamps meant for the association. The letter warned that a representation may be made to the Chief Justice if no action is taken.
