Advocate OM Shalina Becomes First Woman Deputy Solicitor General at Kerala High Court

Advocate OM Shalina has been appointed as the first woman Deputy Solicitor General (DSG) for the Kerala High Court.

Her tenure will last for three years or until further notice.

Shalina will represent the Central Government in matters before the High Court, the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), and the Armed Forces Tribunal. 

Her journey in the Central Government's legal department began in 2015 as a panel counsel in the Kerala High Court and has since appeared for the Union of India in various legal forums, including the CAT.

She is the spouse of BJP state general secretary MT Ramesh.
