A Mumbai-based advocate has filed a complaint before the Consumer court against luxury fashion brand Gucci, alleging serious injuries due to defective footwear purchased on March 6, 2024.
The advocate claims that after wearing shoes for only one hour, it caused two falls due to a height imbalance and sole defects, leading to leg pain and psychological trauma.
The Advocate seeks ₹1 crore in compensation for mental agony, embarrassment, and wasted time, ₹9,500 for new shoes, and ₹50,000 in litigation costs. The complainant alleges poor customer service despite a Gucci inspection confirming the manufacturing defect and offering to choose a different product.
The matter is scheduled for its next hearing on July 3, 2024.
