From April 1, 2025, airlines operating international flights to/from India must share passenger details with Indian Customs authorities, per the Passenger Name Record Information Regulations, 2022. Data, including names, contact details, payment modes, and travel itineraries, must be submitted 24 hours before flight departure.
Airlines must register with the National Customs Targeting Centre-Passenger (NCTC-Pax) by January 10, 2025. Non-compliance may lead to fines of ₹25,000–₹50,000.
The system will launch in phases, with a pilot run by February 10, 2025, and full-scale operations starting June 1, 2025.
This initiative enhances passenger risk analysis and interdiction capabilities.
