Allahabad High Court Grants Bail to Man Held for ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ Instagram Post

The Allahabad High Court on Thursday granted bail to a man arrested for posting "Pakistan Zindabad" on Instagram following the Pahalgam attack.

While granting relief, the Court restrained the accused from uploading any objectionable content against the reputation of the country or any community.

The accused had remained in custody since May 2025. His counsel argued that the post, while objectionable, did not attract Section 152 of the BNS as it was not derogatory toward India.

The Court cited overcrowded jails and heavy trial pendency as additional grounds for the release.
