Allahabad High Court Bars Advocate Asok Pande From Practicing Before it for three years

  • Case Name: State of UP v Asok Pande

The Allahabad High Court has barred advocate Asok Pande from appearing before its benches at Allahabad and Lucknow for three years.

The court has also restrained him from entering the High Court premises during such time, citing his repeated acts of contempt and lack of remorse.

Earlier on April 10th, the court sentenced Pande to six months of simple imprisonment and imposed a ₹2000 fine for using abusive language against judges and appearing in improper attire during court proceedings.

Rejecting his apology and plea for leniency, the court noted his past convictions and six pending contempt cases.
