Anantnag Court Rejects Father's Custody Plea, Says Win Child with Love, Not Litigation

The Principal District Court in Anantnag rejected a father's plea to enforce a 2024 custody agreement after his 10-year-old son consistently refused to meet him.

The Court, citing the child’s emotional well-being, held that enforcing visitation against his will would amount to “torturing the child.”

The court observed that the child had grown up solely with his mother, and the father’s belated legal assertions lacked emotional foundation.

Emphasizing that custody cannot be forced by law, the Court advised the father to win his child through patience and unconditional love rather than litigation.
