Bengaluru police have arrested Nikita Singhania, her mother Visha, and brother Anurag, following the suicide of techie Atul Subhash, 34, who alleged harassment by his estranged wife and her family.
Subhash was found hanged on December 9, leaving behind a 24-page note and a video detailing emotional and financial distress caused by legal battles over divorce and custody, false allegations, and monetary demands.
Subhash accused Nikita's family of seeking ₹3 crore and ₹30 lakh for visitation rights.
Outrage over his death has reignited debates on safeguarding men in troubled marriages as legal proceedings against the accused continue.
