BCI Extends AIBE Clearance Deadline to Three Years for 2022-Onward Enrollees

The Bar Council of India (BCI) has extended the deadline to clear the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) from two to three years for advocates enrolled from 2022 onwards.

The decision came in response to a request by the Madhya Pradesh State Bar Council, seeking more time for new lawyers to prepare. 

The BCI clarified that failure to pass the AIBE within the prescribed period would lead to removal from the roll of advocates.

Additionally, State Bar Councils have been directed to remove the names of those enrolled before 2022 who have not cleared the AIBE.
