Bihar Man Arrested for Brutal Assault on Wife Over Extra Marital Affair Suspicion

A man in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, has been arrested for brutally assaulting his wife on suspicion of an extramarital affair.

The accused, Shatrughan Rai, allegedly inserted chilli powder into his wife’s private parts, burned her with a hot iron, and tried to electrocute her.

He locked her in a room for two days without food or water, while neighbours did not intervene out of fear. The woman was rescued by her brother and hospitalized due to severe injuries.

An FIR has been filed against Rai and his family. While Rai is in custody, his in-laws are currently absconding.
