BJP leader Navya Haridas has filed a petition in the Kerala High Court challenging Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi's victory in the Wayanad Lok Sabha by-poll held on November 13.
Haridas, who contested the election but lost 5,12,399 votes, alleges that Gandhi suppressed information about her and her family's assets in her nomination papers, which misled voters.
Haridas claims that Gandhi's actions violated election laws and conducted corrupt practices under the Representation of the People Act, 1951.
Haridas seeks to have Gandhi's election victory set aside. Advocate Hari Kumar G Nair will represent Haridas.
