Bombay High Court Judge Orders Police Probe into Alleged Conspiracy by Advocates

  • Case Name: Sabina Lakdawala v. Feroze Lakdawala

The Bombay High Court has ordered a police enquiry into phone calls made by Advocate Partho Sarkar to Justice Madhav Jamdar, suspecting a conspiracy to frame the court.

Sarkar expressed interest in buying a flat owned by the judge’s wife, but raised suspicion by proposing a cash transaction and failing to disclose his identity as a lawyer.

The court noted links between Sarkar and advocates Vijay Kurle and Mathew Nedumpara, already under scrutiny for misconduct.

Justice Jamdar has recused himself from all matters involving Nedumpara. The police report is to be submitted to the Registrar General.
