Bombay High Court Reserves Order on Zee TV’s Plea to Quash FIR Over Romance Show with Age-Gap

The Bombay High Court has reserved its order on Zee TV’s plea to quash the FIR against its show “Tum Se Tum Tak”, depicting a romance between a 46-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman. The FIR alleged the storyline was inappropriate.

During the hearing, the Court indicated it might direct the complainant to perform cleaning and mopping duties at a Mumbai hospital as community service.

Zee argued the show was fictional and within creative freedom.

The Court, after hearing both sides, closed the matter for orders, signalling a possible unconventional resolution rather than pursuing the criminal case.
