Bombay HC Orders Woman's Appearance in Kidnapping Case Over Inter-Caste Marriage

The Bombay High Court has directed the Mumbai Police to produce Pooja Gulab Yadav and now Pooja Pradip Gupta before the court after her husband, Pradeep Rajesh Kumar Gupta, claimed she was kidnapped by her family due to their inter-caste marriage.

The husband alleged that his wife disappeared after being called by her family under false pretext and taken to Uttar Pradesh. The police, however, stated that she willingly traveled to Uttar Pradesh.

The court set the hearing for January 6, 2025, and instructed the police to notify the woman's parents.
