The Bombay High Court held that a terrorist gang was formed to avenge the alleged dishonour of faith and to strike terror in society, while rejecting bail to a veterinary doctor accused in the 2022 murder of Umesh Kolhe.
The Court observed that the offence was not an isolated act of violence but part of a larger conspiracy motivated by extremist ideology.
It found that the accused played an active role in instigating and facilitating the crime, even if he was not physically present at all meetings.
The Court held that there were reasonable grounds to believe the allegations were prima facie true and denied bail considering the gravity of the offence.
