Bombay High Court Dismisses ‘Motivated’ PIL Against Z+ Security for RSS

The Nagpur Bench of the Bombay High Court dismissed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) challenging the Z+ security cover provided to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and its chief, Mohan Bhagwat.

The Bench characterized the petition as "motivated" and an "abuse of the process of law." The petitioner argued that the security cover lacked a reasonable threat basis and wasted public money.

However, the Court noted the petitioner failed to disclose personal details or conduct proper research, relying solely on news reports.

Finding no genuine public interest, the bench rejected the plea.
