Bombay High Court Dismisses PIL Against Jolly LLB 3, Says Judges Not Hurt by Mockery

The Bombay High Court dismisses a PIL seeking to block the release of Jolly LLB 3 over allegations that its trailer mocks the judiciary by referring to judges as "Mamus." The film is scheduled for release on September 19.

A bench of Chief Justice Shree Chandrashekhar and Justice Gautam Ankhad rejects the petition, observing that judges are accustomed to criticism and mockery, and that no harm is caused by such depiction.

This follows a similar decision by the Allahabad High Court, which, after reviewing the trailer, teaser, and lyrics of the song “Bhai Vakeel Hai”, concluded there was nothing objectionable that would scandalise the legal profession.
