Bombay High Court Grants Relief To Gautam Adani in Rs. 388 Crore Cheating Case

The Bombay High Court quashed a Sessions Court order that had refused to discharge Gautam Adani (The Chairman of Adani Enterprises) and Rajesh Adani (its Managing Director) in a Rs. 388 Crore market regulations violation case.

The Serious Fraud Investigation Office(SFIO) filed a chargesheet accusing Adani of criminal conspiracy & cheating. However, the Magistrate’s court found insufficient evidence and discharged Adani's.

Later, SFIO challenged the discharge order before the Sessions court, which ruled in favor of SFIO and canceled the earlier discharge order.

Adani Enterprises afterward challenged the Sessions court order in the Bombay High Court, which today got quashed and reinstated the discharge.
