Bombay High Court Grants Three-Day Bail To Bhima Koregaon Accused Ramesh Gaichor on Humanitarian Grounds

The Bombay High Court on Tuesday granted three-day temporary bail to Bhima Koregaon-Elgar Parishad case accused Ramesh Murlidhar Gaichor to visit his ailing father.

A Bench of Justices AS Gadkari and Rajesh Patil allowed Gaichor’s release from September 9 to 11 upon depositing ₹25,000 with prison authorities, waiving escort charges.

The Court noted that Gaichor had not met his 76-year-old father since his arrest in 2020 and considered the humanitarian grounds of his request. Earlier, a special NIA court had denied bail, citing insufficient medical urgency.

Senior Advocate Mihir Desai appeared for Gaichor, while Advocate Sandesh Patil represented NIA.
