Bombay High Court Orders Raids in Gopal Snacks Trademark Infringement Case

The Bombay High Court granted Gopal Snacks Ltd. an ex parte order, leading to coordinated raids in Surat and Mumbai against entities using deceptively similar trademarks such as ‘Gopendra’, ‘Shree Gopal’, and ‘Gops’.

Court-appointed commissioners, assisted by police, raided five locations in a single day, seizing large quantities of counterfeit goods and packaging materials.

Gopal Snacks alleged these entities exploited its registered ‘Gopal’ trademark and misled consumers with similar branding.

The bench has directed a detailed seizure report to be filed within seven days.
