Delhi Police File Chargesheet Against Cab Driver For Obscene Act Before University Student in Delhi

Delhi Police have filed a chargesheet against an app-based cab driver accused of performing a sexual act in front of a 22-year-old Ambedkar University student during a ride in September 2025.

The chargesheet cites 18 witnesses and relies on CCTV footage that corroborates the survivor’s statement.

Police also noted that the cab aggregator initially declined to share the driver’s details citing privacy concerns, but the information was later provided after official intervention.

The accused is presently in judicial custody as the trial process moves forward.
