The Calcutta High Court has observed that a legal conflict between West Bengal Governor C.V. Ananda Bose and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is not good for any party.
Justice Krishna Rao, while hearing a defamation suit filed by the Governor against Banerjee and three others, suggested that the matter could be resolved through dialogue, even proposing a "Chai Pe Charcha" approach.
The case arose from remarks made by Banerjee and Trinamool leaders over a dispute regarding the oath-taking ceremony of two newly elected MLAs.
The court did not issue a formal order but encouraged discussions to settle the matter amicably. The next hearing is scheduled for May 21.
