The Calcutta High Court has quashed a case against a man, who was booked for the offences of theft and house trespass under Sections 448/379/461/417/120B of the IPC.
The petitioner, a secretary of an organization that owned shop rooms leased out to tenants, stated that he was only present at the scene, and the furniture and articles removed from the possession of the complainant's shop were kept in his school.
He has no involvement in the dispute between the complainant and the tenant, and his presence at the scene was due to his role.
The Court quashed the proceedings, finding no evidence against the petitioner.
