The Central Bureau of Investigation opposed former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi’s plea seeking transfer of criminal cases against her and her family members from Judge Vishal Gogne of the Rouse Avenue Courts.
The plea concerns four pending cases, including the IRCTC scam, the alleged cash-for-jobs case, and connected money laundering proceedings.
The CBI argued that the allegations of bias were baseless and amounted to forum shopping and an attempt to demean the judge. It said Judge Gogne was following established procedure while framing charges and seeking clarifications.
The court will continue hearing the matter on December 15.
