The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has taken cognizance of complaints lodged against IndiGo Airlines in relation to widespread flight disruptions that have affected multiple domestic routes across the country.
As the largest carrier in India’s domestic aviation market, IndiGo has faced numerous passenger complaints relating to frequent delays, cancellations, and operational issues.
The CCI will examine whether the airline’s actions constitute anti-competitive practices or unfair trade practices under the Competition Act, 2002, potentially harming consumers and distorting market competition.
The probe is aimed at ensuring accountability, safeguarding passenger interests and maintaining fair competition in the civil aviation sector.
