CCI Urges SC to Streamline Antitrust Probe Against Amazon and Flipkart

The Competition Commission of India , has petitioned the Supreme Court to consolidate cases against Amazon and Flipkart, urging faster resolution of their ongoing antitrust investigation.

CCI claims that the current cases, filed in several high courts, are intended to delay the investigation and obstruct the proceedings under the Competition Act, 2002.

The petition asserts that proceedings in six high courts are causing procedural delays, affecting the public and e-commerce. CCI stresses that objections can be raised directly before the Commission.

CCI has requested the Supreme Court to consolidate cases for a unified hearing.
