Centre Appoints Justice Arun Palli as Chief Justice of J&K and Ladakh High Court

The Centre has notified the appointment of Justice Arun Palli as the Chief Justice of the High Court of J&K and Ladakh, effective April 12. Prior to this, Justice Palli served as a judge at the Punjab and Haryana High Court and was designated a senior advocate in 2007. 

He has also acted as Amicus Curiae in several significant cases.

He currently serves as the Executive Chairman of the Haryana State Legal Services Authority and has been on the NALSA governing body since October 2023.

His appointment was approved by the President of India following consultation with the Chief Justice of India, as confirmed by Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal.
