A Bengaluru court will deliver its verdict on July 30 in the rape case against suspended JD(S) leader Prajwal Revanna, who is accused of repeatedly raping his maid and recording the assaults.
The charges include rape, voyeurism, criminal intimidation, and IT Act violations.
The case surfaced after over 2,900 videos of sexual assaults allegedly involving Revanna were leaked online. He fled to Germany but was arrested on his return to India in May 2024.
The court earlier rejected his plea for discharge, ruling there was enough evidence to proceed with the trial. Revanna remains in jail as the case awaits judgment.
