The Delhi High Court has suspended the sentence of actor Rajpal Naurang Yadav in cheque bounce cases till March 18, 2026.
Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma granted interim relief after noting that Yadav had paid ₹1.5 crore to the complainant, M/s Murli Projects Pvt. Ltd., and sought suspension in view of a family marriage.
The Court directed him to appear either in person or through video conference on the next date of hearing.
Earlier, the Court had ordered him to surrender before the Tihar Jail Superintendent, criticising repeated breaches of payment undertakings and observing that no special treatment can be granted based on one’s background or industry.
