Supreme Court Told Chhattisgarh Police Closes Case Against Baba Ramdev Over Remarks on Allopathy

The Supreme Court was informed that Chhattisgarh Police has filed a closure report in the case against yoga guru and Patanjali founder Baba Ramdev for his 2021 remarks criticising allopathy during the COVID-19 pandemic.

A bench of Justices MM Sundresh and Satish Chandra Sharma was apprised that the case may be revived if a protest petition is filed. Senior Advocate Siddharth Dave appeared for Ramdev.

The Court also noted that another FIR registered in Bihar is still pending and scheduled the matter for further hearing in December after Bihar submits its response.
