Chief Justice of India (CJI) Sanjiv Khanna has stepped aside from presiding over petitions regarding the draft constitutions of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) and the All India Football Federation (AIFF).
These cases concentrate on governance reforms to improve transparency and adhere to international standards. During a Supreme Court session, CJI Khanna cited unspecified reasons for his recusal, and the cases have now been reassigned to Justice P.S. Narasimha's bench.
Previously, Justice L. Nageswara Rao was responsible for managing the amendment process and elections. The AIFF has voiced concerns regarding the draft; additional hearings are anticipated to address these matters.
