Chief Justice of India (CJI) Surya Kant humorously speculated on how Solicitor General (SG) Tushar Mehta finds time to author his new books, The Bench, the Bar and the Bizarre and The Lawful and the Awful.
Speaking at the book launch in New Delhi, the CJI joked that Mehta might be drafting humorous stories in Courtroom No. 1 while judges are occupied flipping through bulky case briefs.
He noted that despite Mehta's grueling schedule, handling government work and thousands of pages of briefs, he managed to capture the "beating hearts behind the robes."
The event was also attended by Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
