Former Union Minister Dayanidhi Maran has issued a legal notice to his brother, Sun TV Chairman Kalanithi Maran, alleging massive fraud in share allotments since 2003.
The notice claims 12 lakh shares worth over ₹3,000 each were illegally allotted to Kalanithi at just ₹10 each without approvals, giving him 60% control. Allegations include misuse of funds, undervalued share transfers, and illegal transmission of their late father SN Maran’s shares.
Dayanidhi intends to approach SFIO, ED, SEBI, and seek cancellation of licences of Sun TV, SpiceJet, and related IPL teams.
