Delhi High Court Orders YouTuber Mohak Mangal to Take Down Defamatory Video Against ANI

The Delhi High Court has directed YouTuber Mohak Mangal to remove his video titled "Dear ANI," which accuses news agency ANI of extortion and blackmail over copyright strikes.  

Justice Amit Bansal observed that phrases like "hafta wasooli" and "gunda raaj" used in the video are defamatory and should be taken down. 

ANI had filed a ₹2.1 crore defamation suit alleging Mangal used their copyrighted clips without permission and then launched a disparaging campaign.

Comedian Kunal Kamra and AltNews co-founder Mohammed Zubair were also named in the suit for sharing the video on social media. The matter will be heard next in July.
