Delhi Court Grants AAP Leaders Exemption from Personal Appearance in Excise Policy Case

A Delhi court has granted former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and other AAP leaders exemption from personal appearance in the ongoing excise policy case.

The decision was made considering their involvement in the Delhi assembly election campaign.

The case stems from a money laundering probe launched by the CBI, based on a referral from Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor.

The excise policy, implemented on November 17, 2021, faced allegations of corruption and was revoked shortly after.

The court acknowledged the leaders’ campaign obligations while directing legal representation to continue proceedings in their absence.
