A Delhi court has granted bail to Gaganpreet Makkad, accused of driving a BMW that collided with a motorbike ridden by Navjot Singh, resulting in his death.
The Judicial Magistrate examined CCTV footage, which showed the car losing control, striking a divider, flipping, and then colliding, conflicting with the FIR’s narrative of a deliberate ramming from behind.
The court also noted that an ambulance present at the scene failed to aid the victim, which undermined the prosecution’s “golden hour” theory.
Given the weakened foundation of the charges and absence of prior criminal record, bail was granted subject to strict conditions.
