Delhi Court Grants Bail to School Caretaker in Three Year Old Minor Rape Case

A Delhi Court has granted bail to a 57-year-old school caretaker, Lalit Kumar, accused of sexually assaulting a three-year-old student inside a private school in Janakpuri.

Despite strong opposition from the prosecution regarding the gravity of the POCSO allegations, the court granted relief within days of the arrest.

The defense successfully argued that electronic entry logs and CCTV records established a clear alibi, proving the accused had left the premises prior to the alleged incident.

Recognizing his full cooperation with the investigation, the court allowed bail, prompting the Delhi Police to immediately approach the High Court for its cancellation.
