In the Rajasthan phone-tapping case, Lokesh Sharma, former Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to CM Ashok Gehlot, has agreed to become a witness for the prosecution and has received a Conditional pardon from the Patiala House Court, Delhi.

The court granted this pardon after Sharma agreed to disclose all details of the alleged illegal surveillance of Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.

This case, initiated by Shekhawat's complaint in March 2021, involves charges under Section 120B of IPC and the Indian Telegraph Act.

The court said Sharma's testimony is key to identifying others involved, which could affect the investigation and the political situation.
