Delhi Court Summons Congress Leaders in Rajat Sharma Defamation Case

A Delhi court has summoned Congress leaders Ragini Nayak, Pawan Khera, and Jairam Ramesh in a criminal complaint filed by journalist Rajat Sharma alleging defamation and forgery.

The court found prima facie material showing that a tampered video clip was circulated on social media, falsely suggesting Sharma used abusive language during a live TV debate. A forensic report indicated post-production alterations in the video.

The court held that reputation forms part of the right to life under Article 21 and observed common intention among the accused.
