Delhi High Court Upholds UIDAI’s Decision to Disqualify Bidder from Aadhaar Audit Process

The Delhi High Court upheld UIDAI’s decision disqualifying a bidder from the audit and quality check process for Aadhaar enrolment centres.

A Division Bench of Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela dismissed the company’s plea challenging its exclusion.

UIDAI had issued an RFP in November 2022 for audit and verification of Aadhaar enrolment and updation activities.

The Court held that UIDAI validly exercised its discretion in rejecting the bidder for not meeting the prescribed technical criteria. The Court emphasised that bidders must strictly comply with eligibility requirements in government tenders involving data integrity and sensitive public functions.
