Delhi High Court Bars Students with Under 75% Attendance from DUSU Elections

The Delhi High Court has held that a student who fails to maintain a minimum 75% attendance cannot contest the Delhi University College Students’ Union (DUCSU) elections.

Justice Mini Pushkarna upheld a college notice disqualifying a third-year BA (Programme) student whose nomination was rejected on this ground.

The court directed the Grievance Committee to give her a personal hearing and recalculate her attendance in her presence.

If she meets the 75% requirement after verification, her nomination will be accepted; otherwise, the rejection will remain valid.
