The Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court personally addressed concerns raised by the Karkardooma Bar Association regarding the transfer of 34 digital NI Act courts (handling cheque bounce cases) to the Rouse Avenue court complex.
The lawyers, who had gone on strike and launched a hunger protest, cited issues such as a lack of clarity, poor infrastructure, and inadequate virtual hearing setups.
After a meeting held on July 7 with Bar Council representatives, the Chief Justice assured that necessary improvements would be made. Bar members agreed to resume work from July 8.
The relocation, which was meant to ease Delhi’s 4.5 lakh pending NI Act cases, will continue as planned while awaiting these improvements.
