The Delhi High Court closed proceedings in a plea against the Netflix film Ghooskhor Pandat after recording that the producers had decided to change the film’s title and withdraw all related promotional material.
The petition sought a stay on the release of the film, claiming that the original title was communally offensive and affected the dignity and reputation of the Brahmin community.
The Court was informed that an alternative title would be adopted to better align with the film’s narrative and that promotions linked to the earlier title had been removed.
The Court held that nothing further survived for consideration and disposed of the matter.
