Delhi High Court Condemns Rajasthan Police for Arresting Minors Without Informing Local Authorities

The Delhi High Court strongly criticised the Rajasthan Police for arresting minors from Delhi without informing local authorities, calling the action a serious violation of juvenile justice laws and inter-state policing protocols.

The Court emphasised that such arrests bypassed the mandatory procedures under the Juvenile Justice Act, which required immediate notification to both parents and local police.

When asked directly, Inspector Rathore admitted that his team had not informed the Delhi Police.

The Rajasthan Police has been asked to explain its conduct, with the matter listed for further hearing on October 1.
