Delhi High Court Upholds Dismissal of BSF Officer Over Illicit Relationship

The Delhi High Court upheld the dismissal of a BSF Sub-Inspector for engaging in an illicit relationship with a fellow officer’s wife.

The Bench held that his conduct was unbecoming of a disciplined force member and eroded public confidence in the armed forces.

The Bench found that the General Security Force Court had relied on credible witness statements and digital evidence to convict him under Section 40 of the Border Security Force Act, 1968.

The Court ruled that the inquiry followed due process and concluded that the dismissal order warranted no judicial interference.
