Delhi HC Cracks Down on Dummy Schools, Orders Government and CBSE to Take Action

The Delhi High Court has directed the state government and CBSE to take action against dummy schools that allow students to bypass attendance requirements by only attending coaching classes.

The bench of Chief Justice D.K. Upadhyaya and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela called the practice a "fraud" and ordered inspections and affidavits on action taken.

The court also noted concerns about fake admissions being used to claim Delhi domicile benefits.

While the Delhi government downplayed the issue, CBSE confirmed action against over 300 dummy schools nationwide.

The matter will be reviewed in May after further investigations.
