Delhi HC Refuses To Entertain Plea Against SC/ST Reservation For Those Who Convert From Hinduism To Buddhism

The Delhi High Court has declined to hear a petition challenging the constitutionality of extending SC/ST reservation benefits to individuals who convert from Hinduism to Buddhism.

The court noted that the petitioner failed to place any document (such as a circular, notification, or legislation) on record to support the claim.

The court allowed the advocate to withdraw the plea with liberty to file a fresh one, but insisted that any new petition must contain proper pleadings and relevant legal instruments.
